The Downtowner and Averill Hospitality would like to extend our concern to all individuals affected directly or indirectly by the coronavirus (COVID-19). We are committed to providing a comfortable and healthy environment for our guests and team members.
The City of Whitefish and the State of Montana have recently passed an ordinance requiring the use of face coverings through August 15, 2020. Whitefish City Council and/or the State of Montana may extend this emergency ordinance for one or more additional terms.
According to the ordinance, a face covering must be worn by all individuals when in a place of business or waiting in line to enter a place of business, when outdoors at an organized event with 20 or greater guests, when outdoors if physical distancing cannot be maintained, and when driving or riding on public transportation, shuttle, or paid ride service.
Exceptions are permitted for children over the age of 5 years, for individuals with health conditions, for individuals who are eating or drinking, actively exercising or swimming, or when it is not practical, such as during a haircut or facial.

Room was huge. Beds extra comfortable (we just spent 27 hours on a train so maybe that’s why it felt so good.) Close to train station.
The beds are wonderful and so is the access to Wi-Fi. Staff is great and so is their morning coffee available in the lobby. A plus is that there is an on-site washer and dryer to use.
